Camprofile Gaskets
Camprofile gaskets are high-performance, semi-metallic gaskets designed for critical sealing applications, especially in high-temperature and high-pressure environments. They offer the durability of metal and the conformability of soft sealing materials, making them ideal for heat exchangers, reactors, flanged joints, and vessels in industries like oil & gas, petrochemicals, and power generation.

π Construction:
A Camprofile gasket consists of three main components:
Metal Core with Serrated Profile:
The core (usually stainless steel, carbon steel, or alloy) has a concentric or spiral-grooved surface.
These serrations help grip the sealing layers and enhance seal tightness.
Soft Facing Layer:
A thin layer of graphite, PTFE, or mica is bonded to both sides of the core.
This filler improves conformability, reduces flange damage, and enhances sealing.
Optional Outer Ring (Guide Ring):
Used for centering the gasket and protecting the sealing element from over-compression.
Commonly made from carbon steel, stainless steel, or other alloys.
β
Key Advantages:
High sealing performance, even at low bolt loads
Excellent resistance to thermal cycling and pressure fluctuations
Low leakage rates, suitable for hazardous and toxic media
Reusable core (in some designs)
Prevents damage to flange surfaces compared to full-metal gaskets
Stable at high temperatures and pressures
